Support + Education for Parents and Familes

My work is rooted in relationship and connection. I have a holistic approach striving to balance the heart, head, and hand (feeling, thinking, and doing). Being in relationship means that we are operating from a space that is guided by mutual respect, trust, and understanding. Being in connection means that we are open to others and able to share ourselves authentically, knowing that our thoughts and feelings are appreciated. It is a sense of belonging.

I use a heart-centered focus to honor emotions (all feelings are okay, it’s what you do with them that makes a difference). We need to hold ourselves lovingly so that we may do the same for our children. We then examine the emotions and uncover their origin to expand our perspective and understanding. A part of this process is learning about how the brain works and what is developmentally appropriate at any age. And, while making these discoveries and gaining new insight, we develop better strategies for relating to yourself, others, and the world around you.

Parenting challenges us in ways we never could have imagined. At times it is messy and overwhelming, and we make mistakes. But being a good parent has little to do with whatever idyllic, unrealistic vision we hold in our heads and everything to do with our genuine engagement in the moment and the effort we put toward being our best selves. Parenting is a wonderful opportunity for learning, growing, and healing.

I find that following my own path and listening to my intuition helps me face challenges with a calmer understanding. Through a process of exploration and reflection I can help you develop your own internal compass, which becomes your guide
throughout life.
